Espresso or Americano? or Kopi Cap Gantang

Hari ni ngantuk yakmat oiiii dekat office. Maybe because last night I slept after 1 o'clock, and insufficient sleep due to the hotness (not that hot la, just not that humid 'cause no AC) and woke up around 7.15 am after several snoozes LOL.

Okay, long story short, I made a coffee after lunch. Dekat coffee machine tu pula ada choices of coffee. Umm for a noobie, I only knew Americano a.k.a kopi cap gantang. C'mon meols kampung at heart okai. And dekat machine tu tak ada Americano #booo! The only choice left is Espresso. Itu pun confirm dengan KH if Espresso IS a black coffee or not? 

For someone who need to deal with lactose intolerence, latte/milk is something that I really need to stay away from unless if I REALLY REALLY want it. If not, maybe espresso/americano would do.

And back to espresso/americano story. Oh! Wow! It worked wonder to me! Thank god for this time no anxiety attack. I didn't feel sleepy at all after that. AND NOW! #ormaybebecausetomorrowisSaturday

This makes me wonder. Bila Ainaa wonder, she will google. Normal la kan? 

What is the difference(s) between espresso vs americano? Like, Hello? Both kopi hitam kot. No latte inside but what's the difference? Don't you wonder meh?

After googled, nahhh i just knew the difference is,

An Espresso is a shot of coffee produced by forcing hot water (steam) at high pressure through coffee grounds.

An Americano is a shot of espresso with water added to extend it. The purpose hot water is added to the espresso to transform the small, strong shot of espresso into a weaker, larger cup of coffee that is more similar to drip coffee.

The history of Americano thingy happened goes back to WW2 (probably myth) when US soldiers wanted to get their regular coffee in Italy, but the Italian baristas knew their regular being espressos. Diluting espresso with hot water gave them the beverage that's very close to what drip coffee is. So the difference is only the intensity because of the added water. #obviouslyakucopyandpaste

Dah kenapa aku buka kelas sejarah Espresso, Americano pula sekarang ni kan??!

Normally people would take 30ml for espresso, BUT! Ainaa seems crazy. Or the sleepyhead in her makes she forget about the reality. She took 100ml of Espresso. Wallah! No wonder aku masih wide awake and headache. Blergh!

OR! Instead of Espresso, she makes Doppio. Apa tu??

Entahlah noks. The only coffee I know and forever cherish is the one that arwah Tok make before he died. The coffee is damn sweet! At the same time, bitter and berlemak. Y'know ada rasa lemak-lemak dia tu. Lawan dengan biskut lutut yang keras nak mamp tu. Ahh good thing happened once. I miss you tok Karim <3.
